Why do we give up

and let go what we love

when it cannot love us back,

yet cannot give up and let go

of the dreams that may not love us back?

Why do we travel lonely hard roads?

Only to learned they were the easy ones…

Why do we spend time for mourning,

For reflection,

When we waste no time

To repeat of mistakes.

Why do we prepare an entire lifetime

For a purpose and goal,

Only to find our short and unprepared?

Why do we ask such why’s

When we know that it is

How that we should be answering?

When we succumb into the dark

Our strength ends along with our fires,

Maybe it’s just where grace begins…
